We strive to integrate traditional ecological knowledge, lived experience and institutional science to create effective environmental policies and recommendations.

Founding
Climate and Country was founded in 2025 by Djindjabad (Connor Wright), a proud Larrakia man with a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Policy. A former environmental consultant and Y20 representative, he has witnessed firsthand the gaps in climate policy and the under representation of Indigenous perspectives.
Climate and Country was established to ensure that Indigenous perspectives are not only included but are central to climate policy and environmental decision-making processes.
